Welcome to Canvasant. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform and services. By using Canvasant, you agree to these Terms.
If you’re using Canvasant on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
1. Using Canvasant
Canvasant provides tools to manage purchasing, expenses, vendor communication, and accounting integrations.
By using the platform, you agree to:
- Use the service lawfully and responsibly
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Ensure your users follow these Terms
You may not:
- Use Canvasant for fraudulent or illegal purposes
- Interfere with the operation or security of the platform
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data
2. Your Data
You retain full ownership of the data and documents you upload to Canvasant.
We will:
- Only use your data to provide and improve the Service
- Never sell your data to third parties
- Handle all personal and business data in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019

3. Intellectual Property
Canvasant owns all rights to the platform, including its software, branding, and user interface.
You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service as per these Terms.
You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of Canvasant.
4. Fees and Payments
Some features of Canvasant may be subject to subscription fees.
- Pricing will be clearly outlined in your subscription or enterprise agreement
- Payment terms for enterprise clients will be detailed in your signed contract
- We reserve the right to update pricing with prior notice
5. Availability and Support
We aim to provide a reliable service with high uptime.
We’ll inform you in advance of:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Major platform updates that may affect functionality
Enterprise clients will have access to priority support as agreed in their SLA.
6. Termination
You can stop using Canvasant at any time. If you request account deletion or data export, contact support.
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You breach these Terms
- You misuse the platform
- Payments are overdue for a prolonged period
7. Limitation of Liability
Canvasant is provided “as is.”
We are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses (e.g. profits, data, or business interruption)
- Business decisions made based on data in the platform
- Service interruptions caused by third-party providers or integrations
If we are found liable, our total responsibility is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months prior to the issue.
8. Data Protection Compliance
We comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC)

9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kenya, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms as our services evolve or legal obligations change. We will notify you in advance of any material changes. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
